Hi @DebMel

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing persistent pink lines through blue on your HP OfficeJet 8030 series despite cleaning the print heads, aligning the printer, and changing the cartridges, here are some additional steps you can take:

1. Perform a Deep Clean:

  • Some printers have a deep cleaning option in the maintenance menu. This can be more effective than the standard cleaning.
    • Go to the Settings menu on your printer.
    • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Tools and look for the Clean Printhead option. If available, select Deep Clean.

2. Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Remove and reinstall them, making sure they click into place.
  • Verify that the cartridges are genuine HP cartridges and not expired.

3. Inspect the Printhead:

  • If the printhead is removable, gently take it out and inspect for clogs or dried ink. You can clean it using a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Reinstall the printhead after cleaning and run a cleaning cycle.

4. Print a Test Page:

  • Print a test page directly from the printer’s menu to check the quality. This can help isolate if the issue is with specific documents or the printer itself.

5. Use the HP Smart App:

  • If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app and run the diagnostics from there. It may provide additional cleaning or maintenance options.

6. Firmware Update:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

After nothing worked I could not find a deep clean option and I was not able to remove and inspect/clean the print head, I concluded that the print head was bad and replaced the printer.  The printer/print head was no longer under warranty.
