I have a HP Envy 5540 which is about 3 years old. There are missing lines on the print and I have run the diagnostic test and clean the cartridges several times. I use instant ink and the levels are half full. I am still using the first set of cartridges so I obviously don't do a lot of printing.

I see that the print quality is not satisfactory.
To assist you better, do you see the lines on the color or black print outs?
Try making a standalone copy in black and color to identify the defective ink cartridge.
As the issue is related to Instant ink cartridges, I need more information to help you out.
