Having issues with print quality.  Replaced with new Genuine HP toner, Magenta is extremely out of alignment.  I have tried to run color calibration multiple times, removed and replaced the toner, even gone as far as replacing the color misregistration sensor as well as the Intermediate Transfer Belt.

Hello,

Before I can diagnose this properly, I need the exact printer model. The behavior you’re describing — magenta misregistration even after:

  • New genuine HP toner

  • Multiple color calibrations

  • Reseating cartridges

  • Replacing the color-registration sensor

  • Replacing the ITB

— points toward a mechanical alignment issue, but each HP color engine family has different alignment mechanisms and failure points. I can’t give you the correct path without knowing the platform.

Please send:

  1. Exact model (e.g., MFP M479, M452, M477, M681, M553, etc.)

  2. Whether the issue affects all pages or only certain areas of the page

  3. Does the misregistration move or stay fixed in the same position on every print?

Once I have that, I’ll walk you through the right alignment tests, hidden diagnostics, and the likely root cause.
