HP Printer 7740

I bought a printer in the Turks and Caicos Islands which uses 954 cartridges (because of the region). However the store that sold me the printer now only sells 952 ink cartridges (which the box says is compatible with my printer 7740)  but I get an error message on the printer. I can't find any place to buy 954 ink cartridges (if someone knows where, please tell me). The store won't take the 952 cartridges back because the box has been opened. So I have an unusable printer. I didn't move to the US (so HP can walk me through making the printer work in a new country), I am still in the Turks and Caicos. What to do? Thank you.

This model printer uses HP 954 ink cartridges in the Latin American region and HP 952 in the US region. 

 

The only option is to perform a region reset to the US region in order to use the HP 952 ink cartridges. 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
