Hello,

Before I walk you through the proper troubleshooting path, I need to get a bit more detail so I don’t make assumptions.

Can you confirm the following for me:

  1. USB connection

    • When connected via USB, does Windows 11 detect the printer as “HP Envy 6100 series” (or similar) in Printers & Scanners, or does it show as a generic USB device?

    • Are you printing from multiple apps or only one (e.g., Word, Test Page, Notepad)?

  2. Driver installation

    • Did you install the HP Smart app or the Full Feature Software package, or are you using whatever Windows auto-installed?

  3. Wi-Fi setup failure

    • When you attempt wireless setup, does the printer fail during:

      • Network discovery?

      • Password entry?

      • Final connection?

    • Any error code displayed on HP Smart or on the printer panel?

  4. Printer status on Windows

    • In Windows → Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners, does the printer show anything like “offline”, “error”, or “driver unavailable”?
