HP Envy 6032e
Printer not used in a few months. Colour prints fine. Black won't print. Ink is coming from the cartridge but not onto the paper. Have cleaned printheads. Black cartridge is about 2/3 full.
Is there anything else I can do. This is a new printer.
Many thanks.

Hi @EmeraldBoa,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the printing issue with your HP Envy 6032e. If the black ink is not printing despite being present in the cartridge and you've already cleaned the printheads, here are some additional steps you can try.
Deep Cleaning:
- Many printers have a deep cleaning function that goes beyond a regular printhead cleaning. Check your printer settings or refer to the user manual to perform a deep cleaning cycle.
Alignment:
- Ensure that the printhead is aligned correctly. Your printer may have an alignment option in the settings. Running an alignment process can sometimes resolve printing issues.
Check for Clogs:
- Examine the printhead for any signs of clogs. If you notice dried ink or debris, you can try to carefully clean it with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab. Be cautious not to damage the printhead.
Update Firmware/Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware and drivers are up-to-date. Sometimes, manufacturers release updates that can improve printer performance.
Try Another Black Cartridge:
- If possible, try using a different black ink cartridge to see if the issue persists. It's possible that the current cartridge is faulty or expired.
Manual Cleaning:
- If all else fails, you might need to manually clean the printhead. This involves removing the printhead (if possible) and cleaning it with distilled water. This should be done carefully, following the printer's manual instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
