Hi @Ankit182,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with your HP DeskJet 2820 printer. Non-HP or refilled cartridges may not provide the expected page yield.

Check for Firmware Updates: Visit the HP support website to check for any firmware updates for your printer. Sometimes, installing the latest firmware can resolve issues related to ink usage and page yield.

Print Settings: Verify that your print settings are not set to the highest quality mode unnecessarily. High-quality printing can consume more ink. You can check and adjust the print quality settings in the printer driver.

Perform a Printer Test: Run a diagnostic test on your printer to ensure that it is printing correctly. This can help identify any issues with the printheads or cartridges.

Check for Printhead Cleaning: Sometimes, excessive ink usage can be due to frequent printhead cleaning cycles. Ensure that your printer is not performing excessive cleaning cycles. You can manually clean the printheads if necessary.

Monitor Ink Levels: Keep an eye on the ink levels through your printer software or the printer’s display. This can help you determine if the ink is being used up more quickly than expected.

Print a Diagnostic Page: Most HP printers have a function to print a diagnostics page. This page often displays the health of your cartridges, including any issues that might be causing excessive ink usage.

I hope this helps.
