Hey there, I've got the problem now for a while that printer prints only a quarter of the page. The same issue using a laptop with a USB cable and from iPhone via wireless, using hp app and just printing with default options, nothing makes an impact. I have updated the drivers, run hp doctor, cleaned, run windows troubleshooter, no difference. But the test page on the other hand did print in full. so I kind of run out of options. did anyone face something like that?

Any help and advice appreciated!

Welcome to the HP Community.

Do documents other than PDF print correctly?

For example,  Word document, Text document, Other Office documents?

  1. Are these all PDF files documents you have recently scanned using HP Smart?
  2. If the 1/4 page of the printed content visually "larger" than would be considered normal for that content?

What does the file look like when you open it using your PDF Reader software?

For example,

Open the file using

Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader

Click the Print icon

Set the Page Size and Handling to 100%

Is the preview highlighting all or part of the page?

If "No" to the questions,

What is the source of the PDF files that are failing?

For example, Are these files

  • Stored files of every age (years to days old) on your computer?
  • PDF files saved from content on the Web (from your browser)?
