Bought a brand new black 65 XL cartilage for my envy 5055 printer. Printer states “cartilage problem” that it is not communicating correctly. I have troubleshooted on my own and cannot figure out. I have compare old cartilage to new and I see nothing externally wrong with it. Looked inside the printer and nothing is wrong. Placed old cartilage back in printer and it read fine. I think I have a defective ink cartilage. Do not have a receipt to take back to store. Any suggestions? Will Hp send a replacement?

Hi @Faith88,

I'd like to help!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors and the issue persists, it could be a cartridge failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the replacement options for your cartridge.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
