Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e printer is stuck on "Validating, please wait," here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP support website.
Clear Print Queue:
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any pending jobs that might be causing the issue.
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the network properly. If using Wi-Fi, confirm that it’s on the same network as your computer.
Reset the Printer:
- If the problem persists, try performing a factory reset on the printer. This will erase all settings, so you may need to set it up again afterward.
Use HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. See if it recognizes the printer and allows you to perform any actions.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Inspect the printer for any error messages or warning lights. Ensure there are no paper jams or ink issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
