Hi @Malc-71_hil,
I'd like to help!
I understand you are facing print quality issues.
To assist better-
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page
Use HP Printer Assistant to print a Print Quality Diagnostic page in Windows.
-
Load plain paper into the input tray.
-
Search Windows for your printer model name, and then click the printer name in the list of results.
HP Printer Assistant opens.
-
Click Maintain Your Printer.
-
On the Device Services tab, click Print Quality Diagnostics Page
.
Use HP Utility to print a Print Quality Diagnostic page from your Mac.
-
Load plain paper into the input tray.
-
Click the Apple
menu, and then click System Preferences. -
Depending on your version of OS X, click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
-
In the Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners window, select your printer, and then click Options & Supplies.
-
Click Utility, and then click Open Printer Utility.
HP Utility opens.
-
Click Print Quality Diagnostics
, and then click Print.A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.
-Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
