@TC9159, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer is printing gibberish or random characters, it’s often due to a communication issue between the printer and the computer. Here are some steps to help resolve this:
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check the Connection
- If you're using USB, try a different USB port or cable.
- If you're using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the correct network. You can print a Network Configuration Page from the printer's control panel to verify.
Reinstall the Printer Driver
Sometimes the driver may become corrupted. Reinstalling it can help.
- Go to the official HP support page: Official HP® Support
- Download and install the latest full-feature driver for your operating system.
- After installation, restart your computer and try printing again.
Clear the Print Queue
- On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select See what's printing.
- Cancel all pending jobs.
- Try printing a fresh document.
If the Issue Persists
- Try printing from a different application or device (e.g., phone or tablet).
- If the gibberish only appears from one app, it may be a software-specific issue.
- You can also try printing a Test Page directly from the printer’s control panel to rule out hardware issues.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
