OfficeJet 6835. When I turn it it says there is a problem with the Printhead. I just got the item from a friend and he doesn't know if it was working recently. So, I don't know its recent history. I tried going to Setup and Printer Maintenance and Clean Priinthead, but that appears to do nothing. I replaced the black ink, from shrink wrapped packaging. I am trying to print black and white only, so I hope that is enough ink replacement. It won't print. How do I clean printhead? Not sure if that is the fix or something else.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
