Hi @aloklucknow l

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

It sounds like you’re dealing with a common issue where the yellow ink isn’t being printed despite the ink level being sufficient and performing various troubleshooting steps. Here’s a detailed guide to help you resolve the issue with your HP InkTank 310:

Check for Air Bubbles

Remove the Yellow Ink Cartridge:

  • Turn off the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the yellow ink cartridge from the printer.

Inspect the Ink Line:

  • Check the yellow ink line for any visible air bubbles or clogs. If you see an air bubble, it may be causing the issue.

Purge Air Bubbles:

  • Gently tap or shake the cartridge to help move the bubble towards the ink reservoir.
  • Reinsert the cartridge and print a test page to see if the issue is resolved.

Perform a Manual Ink Cartridge Cleaning

Clean the Ink Cartridge:

  • Moisten a lint-free cloth or paper towel with warm water.
  • Gently wipe the ink cartridge’s printhead with the moistened cloth to remove any dried ink.

Clean the Printer Contacts:

  • Use a dry, lint-free cloth to gently clean the contacts inside the printer where the ink cartridges make contact.

Perform an Ink System Reset

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Reset Ink System:

  • Some HP printers have a specific procedure to reset the ink system. Consult the user manual or HP Support for the exact steps for your model.

Print a Test Page:

  • Print a test page or a color calibration page to see if the yellow ink is now being used correctly.

Update Printer Firmware

  1. Check for Firmware Updates:

Take care and have an amazing day!
