I have a HP inkjet 8620 and want to print on a transparency.

I selected the media quality 'glossy photo paper' and the image won't dry (ink smudges).

Any hints on how to fix this?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

I am not at all sure there is a "fix".

The printer does not support paper type transparency.

If you can find it in your paper type (media) list, you might try "Other specialty papers".
