Welcome to the HP world, where they try so much to control that you have an "original" cartridge that they change printing software every other month so that you have to purchase new cartridges as well...

Officejet Pro 8600 Plus All- in- one Printer

Product No. CM750A

Printer will not operate only shows above error message, and suggests switching off un plugging and switching on again. This had no effect on error message. (error message has no id number).

Any help would be great..........

When I press to print, the printer makes all the sounds like it is printing, but nothing is on the page except the header from the source of the document.

Me too. my Officejet 250 Mobile All-in-One only prints blanks, despite having brand new test cartridges.
