I have installed 302/304 hp original ink cartridges, and my printer recognizes them as incompatible. I see my printer is set for Middle East region, whereas the 302/304 ink cartridges are for Europe. Can we perform a region reset or did I just throw my money out the window?

Hello @elenouska, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We will be glad to help you. Please note that HP Printers use different ink cartridges in different regions, and to use the ink cartridges sold in the current region, we need to change the region settings on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

We have sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

1. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.  HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3636 All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

2. You need to have all the cartridges of the new region/country to which you want to reset it to. Also, once the regional reset is done the old cartridges will stop functioning.

3. Make sure HP App is installed too.

4. You need to have a Windows PC.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead!
