Hi,

 

I bought HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3787 printer in Kuwait with original cartridge 652.  The printer is now with me in India and I am not able to find the following Ink Cartridge for purchase.

 

I have gone through several posts from the community page and see that a regional reset for my printer is required in the following case to use cartridge 680.

Could someone kindly assist on the same.

Hello,

In order to resolve this issue, please follow the instructions in the HP link Finding Ink Cartridges after Moving to Another Country/Region.


I recommend that you Contact HP HP Technical Support in your country/region.

  • Before you contact HP, you must have a full set of genuine HP ink cartridges (HP 680) for your current country/region.

Furthermore, the ink cartridges (HP 652) currently installed in the printer will no longer work after the regionalization of the printer in India.

Ink cartridge information for HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 All-in-One printer series.
HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 cartridge numbers:

Latin AmericaEurope, Middle East, and AfricaAsia Pacific

664 and 664XL Black

664 and 664XL Tri-color

In my case the product is out of warranty now and I dont see an option to contact the agent over call, infact I see very limited HP support option when the product is out of warranty.

 

Is there a way to extend the warranty or should I assume the product is of no use now in another country.

To expand on what @GOLD_MASTER suggested, this support board is English only and support is mostly by volunteers.  This is unfortunate but a fact.  Your location is India.  Obtaining the proper cartridge can be a problem and I doubt if any of the volunteers here have the specific knowledge to help you.  Thus the contact number.

 

If I buy a cartridge for my HP CM1415, I can get a genuine HP,  or I can get bottles of ink and "sensors" to replace the ones on the used cartridge so the printer thinks the ink is full.  Or I can get a clone from Asia through AliExpress.   If get a clone then I get a message "Cartridge is not genuine" or something like that.  Fortunately, the printer will work.  I do not know if your printer will work with a clone or a refill.  In addition (I admit to guessing ), the print head may be different do support different character shapes.  You really need to contact support over there to find out.  If you get help please come back and explain here for others to read.

I see that the only option is to contact the HP support, which I tried, but unfortunately there no contact number available even in the link that you have provided and you just get to the virtual agent. This maybe the case as the product is out of warranty, that I am not sure. 

 

Will definitely post if I get a solution to this. Thank you All.

With lot of searching I was able to get HP Technical support number for India. 

 

Contacted the support and got the region reset done. They were very prompt in their response.
