Hi @E-Sieben

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It looks like the right flat flexible cable (FFC) of your HP Envy Inspire 7220e has come loose, and you're trying to locate the correct connection point. Based on the image you uploaded, the cartridge holder area has multiple connectors, but the exact placement can be tricky.

Steps to Reconnect the FFC Cable

Power Off & Unplug the Printer

  • Ensure the printer is completely powered off and unplugged before handling internal components.

Locate the Connection Point

  • The FFC cable typically connects to a small white or black clip near the cartridge holder.
  • Look for a thin slot with a locking mechanism—it may be slightly recessed.

Reinsert the Cable

  • Align the cable with the connector, ensuring the metal contacts face the correct direction.
  • Gently push the cable into the slot until it sits securely.
  • If the connector has a locking tab, flip it down to secure the cable.

Test the Connection

  • Before closing the printer, gently tug the cable to ensure it’s firmly seated.
  • Power on the printer and check if it recognizes the cartridges properly.
