Setting Custom Size paper

Dragon-Fur has outlined in example #2 exactly the steps that I followed.  However, when I set up this new deminsion and name it and then click ok, it is still not available to use.  How to I get it onto my list of paper size choices so that I can use it?

The second post was because the first one did not work.  What is an Orphan Post?    I tried exactly what you outlined with no result.  Any other ideas?

Laserjet is not my specialty; I am not as familiar with the Laserjet Printer series, the printer software drivers, or settings as is Repairatrooper
