Hi. We bought a new toner cartridge from Staples (official HP cartridge) and when we installed it is says "Indicated cartridges blocked for containing a non-HP chip. More at www.hp.com/learn/ds" We went to the link and it just talks about using non-HP cartridges. But we bought the same exact official HP cartridge we've been using since we bought the printer. And we bought it at Staples; a reputable store, not some random discount website or something. So we took it back to Staples and got another cartridge; had the same problem. Can anyone help? We own the HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw. We purchased the Print Cartridge 202A CF500A. Thank you

I have this same issue and my firmware is already up to date. I have verified that this is genuine hp toner through the QR code. I have paid hundreds of dollars for HP toner that we can't return now because am told by the printer a non-hp chip is preventing me from using this printer. you have no idea how frustrated and livid I am. and I am certianly not going to pay to speak to someone on the phone to fix and HP screw-up. I have my own post on this site that no one has responded to yet. It makes no sense that HP toner is not working in an HP printer. Please tell me again why I should remain an HP customer and not find a printer from another brand that doesn't do this?
