I have connected my HP DeskJet Plus 4130 to my WIFi network.  The firmware is up-to-date, and Web Services are on.  The Embedded Web Server, says that E-Print, and that it is connected to HP Connected.

However, when I try to enrol for Instant Ink, it keeps rejecting the Printer Claim Code, and says: the printer has to be setup using the HP Smart app - which I have already done many times.  At this stage, I'm "pulling my hair out".  I have already used half a new ink cartridge, and I must have printed Printer Codes 20-30 times.  I have grown weary of adding/removing the printer to/from the app, resetting to Factory Settings.  I've downloaded the latest HP Smart software, and more recently the HP Easy Start software.  All to no avail.

I'm rapidly arriving to the point, where I am considering sending the printer back.  Why, does HP make it so complicated??  Surely, it should be easy to enter the cartridge code into either the app or the Instant Ink website?

In the meantime, if anyone has discovered a solution to this problem, I would be grateful for any assistance given.  In addition, you would save my sanity, my hair, and the expense of returning this printer, and buying a different printer (possibly even a different brand).

Many thanks in advance,

Tony.
