Please see screenshot below. There is no option to print in colour. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have printed a test page and it does not print in colour. I have a full colour cartridge

Hi @Eric999,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2721 printer is unable to print in color, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to identify and resolve the problem.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your color ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Low or empty ink cartridges can prevent color printing.
- Printer Settings: Double-check the printer settings on your computer or device. Make sure that the print settings are configured to print in color rather than grayscale or black and white.
- Print Preview: Before printing, review the print preview to ensure that the document or image is set to print in color.
- Driver Update: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.
- Check Cartridge Installation: Verify that the color ink cartridges are correctly installed in the designated color slots. If they are not properly seated, the printer might not detect them.
- Cleaning Printhead: The printhead may be clogged, which can affect color printing. Most printers have a maintenance or cleaning option in their settings. Run the printhead cleaning utility to clear any clogs.
- Test Page: Print a test page from the printer's control panel. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the communication between your computer and the printer.
- Check Color Option: Some printers have a "color lock" feature that might be enabled, preventing color printing. Check the printer's manual or settings to ensure that color printing is not restricted.
- Check Software Application: If you're trying to print from a specific software application, ensure that the application's settings are configured for color printing.
- Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart of both the printer and your computer can resolve communication issues that might be affecting color printing.
- Replace Cartridges: If none of the above steps work, it's possible that one or both of the color ink cartridges are faulty. Try replacing the cartridges with new ones and see if that solves the problem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
