HP ENVY 5544 All-in-One Printer

Hi, I recently acquired an Envy 5544 printer. I'm trying to sign up to Instant Ink and it keeps taking me to a US site, despite my printer settings being set to UK, and my account being set to UK. According to Google, there should be an Instant Ink option for the UK, but I just can't seem to access it. Please can someone advise because I've spent way too many hours on this now

I understand you are trying to resolve the issue with your HP ENVY 5544 printer redirecting you to the US Instant Ink site instead of the UK site, follow these steps:

1. Confirm Your HP Account Settings

  • Log in to your HP Account at HP Instant Ink.
  • Verify that your region is set to the UK and that your address matches a UK location.

2. Set Your Printer's Region

If your printer's region settings are incorrect, it can cause redirection issues:

  1. Print a Network Configuration Page:
    • Go to your printer's Settings or Wireless menu and select Print Reports > Network Configuration Page.
    • Look for the Country/Region settings under the printer's configuration.
  2. If incorrect, contact HP Support to update the region associated with your printer.

3. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Since your browser may store location data:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Restart your browser and try signing up again through the UK site.

4. Access the UK Instant Ink Page Directly

5. Reset HP Smart App Region Settings

If using the HP Smart app:

  1. Open the app and log in.
  2. Go to Account Settings and check the region/country.
  3. Change it to the UK if it's set to the US.
