  • Update the printer's firmware and drivers using HP Smart or the HP Support website:
    • Visit HP Support.
    • Enter your printer model and download the latest drivers.

6. Test Printing from HP Smart

  2. Select your printer and click Remove device.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Add the printer back by clicking Add a printer or scanner in Printers & Scanners.

10. Additional Troubleshooting

  • Network Check: Ensure your printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Paper and Ink: Check that the paper tray has paper and the ink levels are adequate.

It sounds like you've encountered a potential scam. Here’s what you should do immediately:

1. Secure Your Bank Account:

  • Contact your bank immediately to report potential fraud.
  • Explain the situation and ask them to monitor your account for unauthorized activity.
  • If you provided any personal or account information, request to block your account or change your login credentials.

2. Check Your Computer for Malware:

  • Disconnect your computer from the internet to prevent further unauthorized access.
  • Run a full antivirus scan using a reputable antivirus program to check for and remove any malware or remote access tools.
  • If you're unsure about the scan or feel uncomfortable handling it yourself, seek help from a trusted IT professional.

3. Report the Scam:

  • HP Fraud Support: Visit HP Fraud and Scam Reporting to report the scam and verify your warranty status. HP does not require access to your bank account for refunds or support.
  • Government Agencies:
    • In the U.S., file a report with the FTC or your country’s equivalent fraud protection agency.

4. Secure Your HP Printer Issue:

  • Avoid using the same service or support links provided by the scammer.
  • For legitimate HP support, visit the HP Customer Support website.
  • Fix Printing Issue:
    • Ensure the blue cartridge is installed correctly and contains ink.
    • Run a diagnostic test via the printer’s menu.
    • Update your printer drivers via HP Smart.

5. Protect Yourself Moving Forward:

  • Use strong, unique passwords for online accounts.
  • Avoid giving out sensitive information online or over the phone unless you are certain of the legitimacy of the request.
  • Regularly monitor your accounts for suspicious activity.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, let me know the specific symptoms or error messages you're encountering

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
