Hi @NeelAfreddy

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining the issue—I'm really sorry the fine print on your Windows 11 system appears blurry. That kind of visual distortion often stems from display scaling mismatches, font rendering settings, or driver conflicts, especially on high-resolution screens.

Here’s a focused recovery process to help restore crisp, clear text:

Step-by-Step Fix for Blurry Text in Windows 11

1. Adjust Display Scaling

  • Go to Settings > System > Display
  • Under Scale & layout, set Scale to 100% or 125%
  • Avoid custom percentages like 115% or 110%

Non-standard scaling can cause font blurring, especially in older apps.

2. Enable ClearType Text

  • Press Windows + S, type ClearType, and select Adjust ClearType text
  • Make sure Turn on ClearType is checked
  • Follow the on-screen steps to fine-tune font rendering

ClearType improves readability on LCD screens by optimizing subpixel rendering.

3. Check Display Resolution

  • Go to Settings > System > Display
  • Set Display resolution to the Recommended value

Using a non-native resolution can cause text and UI elements to appear soft or pixelated.

4. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Press Windows + X, select Device Manager
  • Expand Display adapters
  • Right-click your GPU (Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA) > Update driver
  • If needed, download the latest driver from:

Updated drivers ensure proper scaling and font rendering across apps.

5. Disable DPI Scaling for Specific Apps

If only certain apps show blurry text:

  • Right-click the app’s shortcut > Properties
  • Go to Compatibility tab
  • Click Change high DPI settings
  • Check Override high DPI scaling behavior and set it to Application

This forces the app to handle its own scaling, which can improve clarity.

Let me know if the text sharpens after adjusting scaling or ClearType—I’ll guide you further based on that. You’re doing everything right by catching this early—I’ll stay with you until it’s resolved.
