I called customer service earlier stating that the new color ink cartridge from ONN for my HP printer is showing no ink.  Still waiting for a call back.  This is the 2nd time this has happened.  I returned two other cartridges that were unopened. Will not order this again.

Hi @Diane1976,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how frustrating it is to experience issues with ink cartridges, especially after multiple attempts. Here’s what you need to know:

Why This Happens

ONN cartridges are third-party/non-HP cartridges, and HP printers are designed to work best with original HP ink. Non-HP cartridges may:

  • Show incorrect ink levels.
  • Fail to print properly.
  • Trigger compatibility or empty cartridge errors.

Recommended Steps

  1. Verify Cartridge Type
    • Check if the cartridge is HP-branded (e.g., HP 67 for DeskJet 2732).
    • If it’s ONN or another brand, HP cannot guarantee compatibility.

  2. Run HP Cartridge Authentication
  3. Use Genuine HP Ink
    • For HP DeskJet 2732, the correct cartridges are:
      • HP 67 Black
      • HP 67 Tri-color 👉 Buy Original HP Ink

  4. If You Already Have HP Ink and Still See Empty
  • Remove the cartridge.
  • Clean the gold contacts with a lint-free cloth.
  • Reinsert and restart the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
