To Whom It May Concern:
Product name: HP LaserJet MFP M234dw Printer
The 50 page monthly instant ink plan will charge $3.99 starting 02.28.2022. I plan to cancel the subscription before hand, as $3.99/mo. is not worth printing a few pages/month. What do I do with the used or unused HP instant ink cartridges? Will HP buy them back?
Regard,
Karam Gill

Hi @t-_-t
HP Instant Ink is a monthly subscription service, you pay for a monthly plan and not for the ink cartridges, which will stop working following the service cancellation.
You would need to return the ink cartridges to HP and replace it with standard ink cartridges from any nearby store.
Please see below support document about cancelling the service, per its tetms:

No,
The cartridge would work till the monthly cycle end and then will stop working.
When you cancel the service you would need to purchase cartridges from a nearby store, the plan cartridges should be returned to HP.
If you cancel the service you need to purchase ink cartridges on your own, you won’t be provided with any such.
