Hi @lrmo
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If the cartridge doesn't fit in your HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Verify Compatibility:
- Ensure you're using the correct cartridge model for your printer. The HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 typically uses HP 902 or HP 903 cartridges, depending on your region.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the cartridge access door and inspect the cartridge slot for any debris or obstructions that might prevent the cartridge from fitting properly.
Align the Cartridge:
- Make sure the cartridge is oriented correctly. Refer to the instructions on the cartridge packaging or the printer manual for proper alignment.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Try inserting the cartridge again.
Inspect the Cartridge:
- Check the cartridge for any physical damage or manufacturing defects. If the cartridge appears damaged, consider replacing it.
