Product: HP officejet 6950

Printer Officejet6950      =    why is cartridge HP903XL acceptable for printers HP6950, HP6960 & HP6970 BUT cartridge HP907XL is not compatible and will NOT print with Officejet HP6950 printer.

@wishful, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

Different printers have different cartridge numbers. The HP Officejet 6950 All-in-One printer supports only HP 903 and HP 903XL ink cartridge( cyan, magenta, yellow, black ).

 

Refer to the document HP Printers - Which Cartridges Work with My HP Printer? for details. The ink or toner cartridges are listed according to where the printer was manufactured.
