I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600. I am getting a message that says the ink cartridge appears to be damaged. I replaced

the cartridge with a new one twice and still getting the same message. I also made sure the drivers are updated.  What should I do next?

Hi @RR4892,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing cartridge issues with your HP Printer.

Please follow the steps listed below to clean the cartridge contacts.

1. Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area. Wait until the carriage stops moving before continuing.

2. Remove the cartridge indicated in the error message from the carriage.

3. Wipe the copper-colored contact on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth.

4. Reinstall the cartridge.

5. Repeat these steps for any other cartridges indicated in the error message.

6. Close the door or lid to the cartridge access area.

I hope this works.

Take care and have a good day.
