I am hoping someone can help. I would like to use custom colours and save as a pre-set. Is this possible. If it is, how - in simple language, please.

Hi @ScruffyLady
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Here’s a simple guide on how to do it:
1. Open the Document or Image:
- Start by opening the document or image you want to print in an application like Microsoft Word, Paint, or any photo editing software.
2. Select Print:
- Click on File in the top menu, then select Print.
3. Choose Your Printer:
- From the list of printers, select your HP Smart Tank 5107.
4. Access Printer Properties:
- Look for a button that says Printer Properties, Preferences, or Settings (this may vary by application).
5. Custom Color Settings:
- In the properties window, look for a tab labeled Color or Print Quality.
- You should see options to adjust color settings. Select Custom or Advanced settings.
6. Create Custom Colors:
- Adjust the color sliders (such as CMYK or RGB) to create your desired color.
- Some applications allow you to enter specific color values (like Hex codes).
7. Save as Preset:
- After customizing your colors, look for an option to Save or Save As.
- You may see an option to save your settings as a preset or profile. Give it a name and save it.
8. Using the Preset:
- The next time you print, go back to the Printer Properties and select your saved preset from the list of available settings.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Raj, Unfortunately, your solution hasn't worked. There are no settings for Custom Colours. If I click on Printer Properties, it takes me to the usual setting + Advanced, which only takes to Colour Mode - Colour/Greyscale/Monochrome. I do have a tab for Print Quality but that takes me to Draft/Normal/Best. The Advanced Tab just takes me to HP Real Life Technologies (which is ticked), Reverse Page Order, Print Max DPI or pages to Print.
I am using the HP software that was installed when I first set up the printer, is there a better/newer software I should be using? I have updated the driver. This is a screenshot of what I get.
