Hi @Dale6754,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code OXC19a0023 on an HP printer typically indicates an ink system failure or an issue with the printhead. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.

  • Reset the printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer, wait for about 60 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord. Turn on the printer again and check if the error persists.
  • Check ink levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges have sufficient ink levels and are properly installed. Sometimes, low ink levels or improperly installed cartridges can trigger ink system errors.
  • Clean the printhead: If the printhead is clogged, it can cause printing issues and trigger error codes. Most HP printers have a utility for cleaning the printhead. You can typically find this option in the printer's settings or maintenance menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the printhead.
  • Update firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for known issues and bugs.
  • Check for obstructions: Open the printer cover and check for any obstructions or debris that may be blocking the printhead or the ink cartridges. Clean any dust or debris that you find.
  • Perform a hard reset: Sometimes, performing a hard reset can help resolve printer errors. To do this, turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and then hold down the power button for about 30 seconds. Afterward, reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

If you're still experiencing issues after trying these steps, it's possible that there's a more serious hardware problem with your printer, such as a faulty printhead or ink system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
