The text looks stretched for the first letter of a new line. The letters droop when one is printed.  It looks like it is trying to print on a moving page.   I just did a head hot water soak to clear up missing lines of text.  will doing a alignment fix this?

Hi @kibel,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To perform an HP cartridge alignment, you can follow these steps.

  • Load plain white paper into the input tray.
  • Press the Setup button on your HP printer. The Setup menu will appear on the printer's control panel display.
  • Use the arrow buttons to select "Tools" and then press "OK".
  • Select "Align Printer" and then press "OK".
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process. This will typically involve printing a test page and then scanning the page using your printer's scanner.
  • Once the alignment process is complete, your HP printer should be properly calibrated to ensure that your printed documents and images look their best.

Note that the exact steps for performing an HP cartridge alignment may vary slightly depending on the specific model of your HP printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
