Hi @bonnielouise,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the cartridge access door on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 series printer is stuck, follow these steps to safely open it:
1. Turn Off the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Let it sit for about 30 seconds to ensure that all internal mechanisms stop moving.
2. Check for Obstructions
- Inspect the printer to see if any foreign objects, like paper or debris, are blocking the door. If you see anything, gently remove it.
3. Gently Pull the Door
- Try to gently pull the cartridge access door open by gripping it firmly. Use moderate force, but be careful not to damage the door.
- If the door is still stuck, proceed to the next step.
4. Access Through the Rear Door
- Open the rear access door (the door at the back of the printer). This might allow you to release any paper jams or issues causing the front door to be stuck.
- Look for any misaligned components or blockages through this access point.
5. Use Manual Release Tabs (if applicable)
- Some HP printers have manual release tabs or screws that can be loosened to open the door. Check if your model has these, and follow the user manual for guidance.
6. Restart the Printer
- After checking for obstructions and attempting to open the door, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and try to open the cartridge access door again.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
