Hi @dsg84

If you've accidentally filled the wrong color ink into an ink tank of your HP Tank 7005 printer, follow these steps to address the issue:

  1. Do Not Print:

    • If possible, avoid printing anything else. Using the printer with the wrong ink color can lead to print quality issues and potentially damage the printer.
  2. Turn Off the Printer:

    • Immediately turn off the printer to prevent the incorrect ink from flowing further into the system.
  3. Contact HP Support:

    • It's crucial to contact HP customer support for specific guidance. They can provide detailed instructions or service options to address the issue.
  4. Do Not Attempt to Refill or Flush:

    • Avoid trying to flush or refill the ink yourself at home. This can lead to further complications or damage to the printer.
  5. Assessment of Damage:

    • Depending on the extent of the incorrect ink mix, the ink tank assembly or other components might need replacement. HP support can assist in assessing the need for such repairs.

Important Note:

  • Warranty Consideration: HP may not cover repairs under warranty if the printer is damaged due to incorrect ink usage, as stated in their terms. Always follow HP guidelines to prevent voiding warranty coverage.

I hope this helps
