Ok, 7500a doesn't pass alignment, so I find a new print head and buy more ink.  Twice.   Doesn't pass alignment still?   Ok, run cleaning cycles until you burn through  $100 in ink later, I have come to realize I recycled a full black cartridge because this thing is in denial about the true ink level.

Before I buy a new printer and chuck this thing in the recyle pile after I spent all this money,

Why do I get all four colors on the ink status printout (that black comes from the black cartridge)

But, it won't print black, even on the demo page.  It won't try to align red or yellow.

I suspect it won't print black unless it passes alignment and calibration.  But, it isn't even trying...

Hi @RobertFinlee

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
