Hello, my printer had been working fine until the day before yesterday. I've been printing my DIY wedding invitations without problems until I started using a new size cardstock paper 5x8 (which I had adjusted to printer settings prior to printing. It's printing with a line to the right side of my cardstock and alignment is off. I've tried several times to align printer. It prints but right after would show "cancelling." There's a notice of ink alignment then "ok" to proceed but it won't prompt me to scan the printed alignment page so this never gets fixed. I've tried to reset the printer, clean ink smears, print alignment on several occasions but always cancels and no prompt to finish by scanning to complete.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Are you printing from your phone or computer?
- What is the operating system?
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello, I am printing from my laptop with HP Envy 5542 all in one printer & scanner. I'm not sure of the operating system as this is my fiancée's laptop and I'm not tech smart. I've also noticed that my printer would print a solid black line to the right of everything. Solid black line not straight by the way.
Thank you for your help.
