Hi @JoannieCR,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an ink cartridge error on your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 All-in-One Printer even after cleaning, replacing the cartridge, and restarting the printer, try these additional troubleshooting steps.

Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure the ink cartridges are compatible with your specific printer model. The HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 typically uses HP 682 Black and HP 682 Tri-color cartridges.

Reinstall the Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
  • Inspect the cartridges for any protective tape that might still be covering the contacts.
  • Reinsert the cartridges, ensuring they snap securely into place.

Clean Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes ink residue or debris on the electrical contacts causes errors.

  • Use a clean, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge.
  • Also, clean the corresponding contacts inside the printer.

Update Printer Firmware: An outdated firmware may cause issues. Use the HP Smart app or go to the HP website to check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait 60 seconds before reconnecting the power cord.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Test with a Different Cartridge: If possible, try another set of cartridges to determine if the issue is related to the current set of cartridges.

HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor, a diagnostic tool designed to fix common printer issues. This might help identify and resolve the error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
