I bought a two pack of HP 934XL cartridges (black). I installed the first one and everything worked fine. When I removed the old one and put in the second one from the package, I received an error message "One or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged."
I tried several times with the new cartridge but kept getting the same message. So then I reinstalled the old one and guess what? I got the same message even though the old one worked an hour before this.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Use genuine HP ink cartridges
- Reset the printer
- Remove the ink cartridges
- Clean the ink cartridge vents and contacts
- Update the printer firmware
If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
