Hi @karen1071,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with printing issues despite multiple cleaning and alignment attempts. Here are some steps you can take to address the problem.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that all ink cartridges have sufficient ink levels. Low ink can cause printing issues.
- Clean Printhead Manually (if possible): Some HP printers allow you to manually clean the printhead. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions specific to your model.
- Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: Non-HP ink cartridges or refilled cartridges may not work properly and could cause print quality issues.
- Run Automated Tools: Many HP printers have automated tools for cleaning printheads and aligning cartridges. Run these tools from the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes firmware updates include fixes for printing issues.
- Check Paper Quality: Poor quality or improperly loaded paper can affect print quality. Use recommended paper types and ensure they are loaded correctly.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Sometimes, performing a hard reset on the printer can resolve persistent issues. This typically involves unplugging the power cord from the printer for about 60 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Check for Physical Obstructions: Ensure there are no physical obstructions in the paper path or around the printhead that could be causing issues.
By following these steps, you should be able to improve the print quality or identify if further troubleshooting or repairs are needed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
