Hi @ckik28,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand that one color is not printing correctly even though the cartridge is more than half full, and you are unable to find the Clean Printhead option in the HP app.
Could you please confirm:
- What is the exact HP printer model?
- Which color is affected?
- Is the color completely missing, faded, or showing streaks/lines?
- Are you using an original HP cartridge?
- Does the affected color also look incorrect when you make a copy directly from the printer?
As a basic step, please try the following:
- Load plain white paper in the printer.
- Open the HP app and select your printer.
- Go to Tools > Print Quality Tools.
- Select Clean Printhead or Clean.
- A cleaning page should print after the cleaning process.
- Check the printed page to see whether the affected color has improved.
If the first cleaning does not resolve the issue, HP's guidance allows additional cleaning cycles for some printers. If the print quality remains unacceptable, follow the further troubleshooting provided for your specific printer model.
If you do not see Print Quality Tools or Clean Printhead, please don't worry; the available tools can vary by printer model. Let us know the exact model, and we can point you to the appropriate option for that printer.
