@msmith2227, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error message "Cannot print. Go to hpinstantink.com" typically appears on HP printers enrolled in the HP Instant Ink or HP+ program when there's an issue with your subscription, internet connection, or printer settings. Here are the most common causes and how to fix them:
Check Internet Connection
- HP Instant Ink requires your printer to be connected to the internet.
- Make sure your printer is connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet and has access to the internet.
Restart Web Services
- On your printer's control panel:
- Go to Settings > Web Services > Remove Web Services.
- Then re-enable Web Services by accepting the terms and allowing updates.
Check HP Instant Ink Account
- Visit hpinstantink.com and log in.
- Ensure:
- Your subscription is active.
- Your payment method is up to date.
- Your printer is listed and shows as online.
Reinsert Ink Cartridges
- Turn off the printer.
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure proper contact.
Update Printer Firmware
- From the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer > Check Now.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically detect and fix issues.
