HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One

7600  series printer.  Printing on envelopes is fuzzy and illegible. All other print jobs are fine. Have changed fonts, size, style, etc. on envelope mode and it all comes out fuzzy.  If address is printed on plain paper, instead of an envelope, it's still fuzzy. How do I correct this problem

@phil19471, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Paper Type Settings

When printing, go to Printer Properties.

Set Media Type to Envelope or Plain Paper.

Set Print Quality to Normal (not Draft or Best).

Align the Printheads

On the printer screen:
Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead

Follow the instructions and print again.

Clean the Printheads

On the printer screen:
Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead

Start with Level 1 cleaning. Repeat if needed.

Check Ink Levels

Make sure all ink tanks are full enough.

Low ink can cause fuzzy or broken text.

Update Software

Go to HP Support.

Search for HP Smart Tank 7602.

Download the latest drivers and firmware.

Try a Test on Plain Paper

If addresses are still fuzzy on plain paper, the problem is not the envelope.

Use a simple font like Arial in black and test again.

Use Correct Envelope Size

In print settings, choose the correct envelope size (like #10).

Or set a custom paper size to match your envelope.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
