- Paper Type Setting: Make sure that the paper type setting in your printer's driver matches the type of envelope you're using. You can usually adjust this setting in the printer properties or settings menu on your computer.
- Printer Settings: Check the printer settings to ensure they're configured correctly for envelope printing. There might be specific settings related to envelope printing that need to be adjusted, such as paper size and paper type.
- Print Quality Settings: Adjust the print quality settings in the printer driver. Lowering the print quality may help reduce smudging and improve the overall print quality.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate the feedback and advice, but this was very generic feedback. I've been using the same envelopes for years and have printed dozens and dozens of envelopes successfully. Interestingly, I have no issues with printing on letterhead using the same stock of paper, from the same supplier (VistaPrint). No issues with printing documents on letterhead stock or otherwise, no issues printing on check stock. Perhaps you are right with the cleaning advice. I would welcome any advice or tutorial on how to clean the deep internals which is where I suspect the problem is.
