We have a HP Laserjet Pro 500 color MFP 570dn in our office that displays streaks on the side margins of printed copies. Streaks are about 3/4" wide and show all colors. We have cleaned the transfer belt repeatedly but it doesn't solve the problem. How can we resolve this problem!!??

It's the belt. Did you clean it by wiping it with a cloth or by disassembling and cleaning?
If you clean it just by wiping that's not enough, the cleaning blade inside the belt must be cleaned to eliminate streaks.

I appreciated the comment from VALSIMOT regarding the cleaning blade associated with the transfer belt assembly. I have tried to find a video on line that shows how to disassemble it to get to the cleaning blade but can't find one!! can anyone recommend one or more that sites can show the process??!! Thanks so much!!

I'm following up on the effort to remove streaks on copies. I was not able to access a video online showing how to dismantle the transfer belt assembly in order to get to the cleaning blade. Nonetheless, I was able to figure it out and remove the portion that contained the cleaning blade and was able to "clean" the blade (with an alcohol wipe...) and surrounding enclosed area from excess toner. With some challenge in getting the various little springs back into place (ugh!), I was able to get the assembly back together and the printer now seems to work very well. While wiping the cleaning blade, I did note that a crusty crud (a highly technical engineering term) had built up on the edges of the blade and I expect that I will have to replace it in the not-too-distant future.
I appreciate your advice regarding the cleaning blade. I still would have liked to see a video on what I was supposed to have done!!!
Thanks so much!!!
