will knockoff ink cartridges work in my deskjet 2700e series?

my printer is being held hostage by HP. I cancelled my FREE INK CARTRIDGES. I was unaware of the being hostage! I don't print very often cartridges are 3/4 filled. now GREEDY HP wants me to buy more ink from them or any retailer SELLING HP INK!  I'm a senior & I only purchased this because of Price.

now I am being strong armed to buy HP ink! which is OVERPRICED to begin with! I have used knockoff brands on other printers & never had a problem.NOW HP TOLD ME THEY WON'T WORK! sure they are in my printer! does anyone know which brands of knockoffs will work after a hard reset?

I'd like to help!

You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.

There are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.
