HP PageWide Pro 477dw Multifunction Printer

Hi my Pagewide pro MFP 477w crumples paper and jams every time I try to print. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks!

Will cleaning the grit roller likely fix the problem?

HP Recommended

A dirty grit roller is unlikely to cause jams unless there is a label stuck to it.  More likely there is something in the paper path.

K Thx, What's the grit roller do anyways?

HP Recommended

The grit roller provides friction to ensure paper feeds straight. Typically it is cleaned when ink gets on it. Depending on how far the paper is feeding in, it is more likley to be something jammed in the paper path.

Just took a look at the paper path today and nothing was in there. What next? Thx

A picture of where and how the paper is jammed in the printer would be very helpful.
