Hi @stu-sec

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That document feeder jam error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 is frustrating, especially when there’s no actual jam. Since you've already tried the basics, let's go deeper with HP-based troubleshooting steps.

Step 1: Manually Inspect the Document Feeder

  • Open the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) cover and check for tiny bits of paper stuck inside.
  • Use a flashlight to inspect the rollers—sometimes small debris can trigger false jam errors.

Step 2: Reset the Printer’s Sensors

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it for 5 minutes.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds while unplugged.
  3. Reconnect the power cord and turn it on.

Step 3: Run a Cleaning Cycle

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Paper Feed.
  • This helps clear any dust or misaligned sensors.

Step 4: Check HP’s Official Fixes

  • HP has acknowledged this issue, and some users have resolved it by resetting the document feeder assembly.
  • You can follow HP’s official troubleshooting guide here.

Step 5: Try a Firmware Update

  • Even if no updates are showing, manually check HP’s support site for the latest firmware here.
  • Some users have reported that a firmware update resolved this issue.

Try these steps and let me know if the issue persists! We’ll get this sorted.
