I do not have the admin password for my printer and am unable to access certain features on the printer screen. Is there a default password or can it be reset? I bout the printer from Amazon and I believe it was refurbished.

Please, try the procedures below:

 

To find the default password
  1. Open the cartridge access door.
  2. Look for a sticker with the printer's default PIN on it.
  3. Close the cartridge access door. 
 
To log in with the PIN
  1. On the printer's control panel, press the "Login Method" button.
  2. Select "Device Administrator".
  3. Choose to enter the password and type in the PIN you found on the sticker. 
 
If the default password was changed
  • You will need to perform a factory reset to return to the default settings. You can usually find this option under Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults on the printer's control panel.
  • If the password was changed by someone else, you must contact that person to get the new password
